Important Dates

  • Thursday 7/31 – Cheer Meeting Flag/C team 6-7pm and B and A 7-8pm at Penfield Community Center 
  • Vacation forms due at parent meeting
  • Tuesday 8/5 – Cheer Starts at Harris Whalen Park
  • Friday 8/22 – Bonfire
  • TBA – First football scrimmage
  • 8/30 – 9/2 OFF (Labor Day weekend)

Important Info

  • Each family is required to sell one book of fundraising tickets ($100)
  • Each family must participate in volunteering (Bonfire, rolling mats before/after practices, A-Team recognition night, Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser, and End-of-season parties)
  • If your family plans to be away over a competition weekend it is imperative that the Director is informed by 8/1.

Where are practices held?

In August all teams practice outside at Harris Whalen Park

  • Flag – Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday 6-7pm
  • A/B/C – Teams Tues/Wed/Thur 6-7:30pm

In September

  • All teams Tues/Thurs between 5:00-8:30 (younger teams will be in the earlier time frame)
  • Practice calendar will be given at a later date
  • All teams practice on Saturday mornings in September and October on a rotating schedule between 8-12:30

Fees

  • Cheer Registration $275
  • All Cheerleaders will be required to purchase a NEW uniform this season – $150

What is included in the registration fee?

  • Hair bow
  • Program T-shirt (handed out at the start of the season)
  • Cheer music for competition
  • Mat rental space for all teams
  • Varsity Cheer Clinic
  • Coaches and Jr coaches gifts
  • End of Year Banquet

What are mandatory items to purchase?

  • Uniform (Skirt and Top)
  • White Cheer Sneakers – Check out Amazon, Dicks Sporting Goods, Nfiity, Rebel
    Shoe costs have large range in price. Pick whichever one works best for your family.

Games

  • Times to be announced. 
  • A,B,C teams cheer for the first 4 football games
  • Flag team attends the first 4 home games

Cheer A Team (Grades 6th – 7th for the 2025-2026 school year)

Registration Fee: $275

New Uniform Fee: $150

  • Cheer Meeting on July 31st 7-8pm
  • Practice begins Tuesday August 5th
  • Practices in August Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 6-7:30pm Harris Whalen Park
  • Attends the first 4 games, games are on Sunday 
  • Game starts weekend before Labor Day, Game Schedule is released mid- August by the league
  • Off for Labor Day Weekend
  • After Labor Day practices are 2 days a week, and on Saturday mornings
  • Practices in September and October – Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
  • Competitions will be held on the weekends September – October
  • Plan for 4 competitions this season.

Practice, Games and Competitions are mandatory for cheerleaders to attend.
We have an attendance policy for practices for the benefit of all the hard work our cheerleaders put in.
